Stopover in North Wales

Where is a nice location in North Wales to stopover after arriving in Holyhead? Bangor/Conwy/somewhere else? No
more than an hour from Holyhead ideally. Will just be one night so does not need to be a lot to do, just hotel and restaurant

If you are travelling on the A55, Beddgelert is quite a detour.

Whereabouts is your final destination? You'll get different suggestions depending on which direction you're travelling in, once you're off the island and past Bangor. If you're heading along the A55 I'd go for Conwy or Llandudno, down the A5 Betws-y-Coed is lovely.

I’d go for Beaumaris. Convenient from Holyhead and for your onward journey.
