Centre Parcs without kids?

Has anyone gone to CP as older adults without children?

We used to enjoy CP when the dc were primary age. We're on the verge of the empty nest - youngest is in 6th Form - and are wondering whether we would enjoy it on our own. We used to love getting a babysitter so that we could ride the flumes together.

Is it worth it for a long weekend? Is it different outside school holidays?

DH and I were married twenty years and thought we couldn't have kids. Now have some.

We went often. He is a very rural farmer, but it was our go to.

Everything in walking distance. So much to do, the spa.

I would absolutely go for it.

I went for a friend’s 40th and it was so much fun! Cycled, played on the flumes, ate nice meals - great!

Oh yes forgot the spa too!

Went with friends for the weekend. Great fun and lots of different things to do. We enjoyed the activities without having to account for children or take turns watching them etc.
Accommodation is good as it's large enough to feel like it's a break if you want to chill in the evening - unlike perhaps a hotel where you end up sitting on the bed to read/watch TV.
We bought lots of 'adult' food so it was lovely.

I think for us the joy of not having to drive made it.

Usually we have to get in car and everything is a trek.

So nice to just potter about. And yes to a lovely marks shop before

I’ve been a couple of times with “the girls” but it’s just not my sort of place. The swimming pool is fun if you’re a big kid but the cycling is pretty tame and boring and anything else is stupidly overpriced and it’s full of kids regardless of when you go! I just find the whole place a bit fake.

Yes! It was wonderful!

My youngest is 16 and oldest 22. We all go. They do a lot of their own thing. We love going out for breakfast to cafe rouge, and i book them a table in the pancake house.

they don’t really “need” us there!
