What to take to Center Parcs?

I'm heading to Center Parcs next week with family, for what will be our first time.

We've booked a 4 bedroom executive lodge and will mainly eat in. We have a couple of restaurant reservations for evening meals and a few activities booked across the week. We will utilise the swimming/playgrounds and cycling the rest of the time.

What items will be useful to take?
Anything in particular the lodges lack?

All info/tips greatly appreciated.

Thanks 😊

We always take a sharp knife (or knife sharpener), hand wash and hand towels for the loo/kitchen area, tea towels, washing up liquid, silicone oven glove, bkn bags, dishwasher tabs; washing up liquid. Last time SIL bought some meals from cook - were frozen so bt timecwe travelled and checked in etc they were good to cook in the evening.

Don't take animal food - you're explicitly told not to feed the animals on your patios

We've been several times, as the kids love it. Definitely take your own cleaning stuff. I've never arrived to a lodge I'd be happy to leave as is. Complaining doesn't help much, sadly.

Otherwise, it's fun.

Get a takeaway delivered to the gate - the on-site Indian place is truly awful, and over expensive.

I think this was just when bird flu was more of an issue.

It sounds dreadful considering the price

Has anyone mentioned lube if you're staying on a Friday night?

Fire stick as TVs are free view only. Don't use the ovens, they are shit. I'd buy food from the onsite shop, it's not overly expensive and sells everything you need. Take loo rolls, kitchen roll, hand soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, foil, tea towel and any sauces you might want. We took blankets for the sofa but our lodge was boiling (last week). Take pool towels and flip flops and a bag to carry swimming things in. Oodies are good to wear for the kids after swimming. You just needs clothes for activities, you don't need 'nicer' clothes. Umbrella, rain coats and walking shoes. Bike helmets. Ball. Scooters. The towel rails in the bathrooms are heated so your towels dry quickly. Have fun, we always have a lovely time.
