DH and i are taking ds to York on Sunday to meet my mum and dad for lunch, We plan on staying for the afternoon. My parents are there on a short break and we dont really want to impose ourseves on them all day iyswim.

Bearing in mind the weather may be rubbish, does anyone have any suggestions as to what we can do, neither of us have been there before.

Hello mumsnetters,

First time here today. Could anyone offer any helpful suggestions on one- on-one play activities for me to do with my 20 month old DD? I am a full time mum quickly running out of inspiration. Whilst she loves being around other, music, tots, books, the park and swmming, we are in the limbo stage for painting, drawing and playdoh as everything is still going in the mouth, so we often have to abandon the activity before we can get started. All her groups resume next week after the summer break which will make things easier, but in the interim, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
