Hi all,
im heading to Newcastle next week for Disney on Ice with the kids. Just wondering if there is anything like Christmas markets or stuff to do with them during the day? All aged 7 and under.

thanks in advance

There's a market but I expect it will be packed (those streets are busy on a normal saturday) and probably not much fun for kids. Newcastle Christmas Market 2023 | NewcastleGateshead
There's an ice rink at the Life Centre which would probably suit them better although it's not cheap if you did ice skating and the centre! Life Science Centre

Head to Fenwicks on Northumberland street to see the window display, there is lots of festive stalls around here too. The lights inside of Eldon Square are nice too.

Great North Museum, Discovery, Fenwick's window, walk along the quayside, take the metro to the coast, Segedunum (check opening times though), not sure how much you want to spend but I think Disney on Ice might be on at the arena, check out the local pantos, possibly kids' movies on at the Tyneside, cinema in the Gate, Seven Stories are a few suggestions. Wrap up warm if you're going to be outside for more than 30 seconds though 😁

Ahh just realised you're doing Disney on Ice. In that case I'd suggest Great North Museum, Fenwick's window, lunch and maybe a trip to the coast and back on the Metro (Tynemouth, Cullercoats or Whitley Bay), tea somewhere and then off to the arena. Of course you might decide to just stay in the museum all day.... it's pretty kid friendly. There's also the Laing Art Gallery but that might be a bit old for the 7 year old. Newcastle city centre is very compact.

Thanks so much for the replies. Can I ask where is best to park for the arena? I think the on-site parking is sold out. Also, is parking easy enough in city centre?
