Toddler friendly self-catering in Gower or nearby?

I can find links to tons of lovely toddler friendly places in the south west, but we live there.

I'm thinking of the sort of cottages on a farm, with animals to feed, doesn't have to have a play area, but geared up for the under fives. Has anyone found this sort of thing?

I'm from the Gower area but I don't know of anything apart from this:

I'm not sure if it is child-friendly or not, it looks a bit stag/hen friendly to me. It might be worth chatting to them. Having said that, it is more on the edge of the Gower rather than the Gower itself.

thankyou, but not the kind of thing I was thinking of - more a kind of farmstay thing with ducklings and so on.

Perhaps we'll just have to go to the next county for our holiday after all...

I'm not sure there is anything like that in Gower. Maybe Pembrokeshire?

Clyne Farm is a great place for children. It's on a hill overlooking Swansea Bay 3 miles from both Swansea and Mumbles and 3 miles from the start of the main Gower beaches. Swansea is only 3 hours from London by car.

There is a toddler's paddling pool at Blackpill about a mile away and the newly refurbished Swansea Leisure Centre - marketed as LC - has a fantastic water park with wave machines, slides and safe areas for little ones as well as a surf training machine.

Clyne Farm has seven self catering cottages on site and two in a secluded woodland location about half a mile away - they sleep up to 51 in total and are 4 star rated by Wales Tourist Board (now called VisitWales!) and sleep between 4 and 8 in each.

A number of the cottages have enclosed gardens.

Three cottages interconnect to sleep up to 14 and the two in the woods interconnect to sleep up to 16. There is also a small campsite and they hire tipis and a Celtic roundhouse.

There is a dining room in a 400 year old converted stone barn which seats up to 60. This is also the base for the many children's parties that the centre run - Treasure Hunt and Pony Ride for little ones, Pony Parties and Assault Course parties for the older ones and adults.

All the accommodation is used by families groups in school holiday times and groups of all sorts during the year including weddings, birthday parties, stag and hen groups (these are usually in the 30-35 age bracket and come for the activities rather than the booze - any noise or disruption is stamped on by the resident owners).

The best thing about the centre are the activities - for litte ones there are some farm animals to see including a snoring rabbit, two lovable pigs called Frankie and Lily and lots or horses and ponies. Children as young as 2 can go on a 1/4 hour led walk (with Mum at their side). For older ones and adults there are lessons and hacks, archery, indoor climbing and Challenge Valley - the muddiest assault course in the world!! Older children (8+) can be left with the BAHA accredited instructors and a favourite is an Adopt a Pony Day.

Off site there is abseiling, quadbiking and surf lessons but if it's fine most people head for the sea and the Gower beaches which came second in ITV's Britain's Favourite View.
