Recommendations please for dinner in Bath City Centre.
No special requirements - reasonably priced.
Thank you.

Am following because am going to Bath next week!

The Bathwick Boatman is lovely, right on the river - bathwickboatman.com/ not right in the Centre though (about 15 mins walk)

Sotto Sotto - Italian

I no longer live in Bath, and haven’t eaten out there for sometime, but I have had several friends visit The Botanist in Milsom Street, and they loved it.

Another vote for Sotto Sotto, or The Oven.

The ivy in bath is lovely.

If you like Thai food the Thai balcony is great.

Sotto sotto for Italian. I once had pasta there and It was one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had!

Just to warn you that the Christmas Market kicks off on Wednesday (for locals) until 10 December.

It will be stupidly busy.

If you do struggle to find anywhere, give The Curfew pub a try. It is a bit further out (just off Cleveland Bridge) and the (new) landlord has a great reputation for creating great pubs.

There have been some great suggestions upthread. I would also add Chez Dominique (by Pulteney Bridge) and the Scallop Shell (fish) towards Royal Victoria Park.

Thai Balcony is fantastic, if you are after a bit of on the go street food then don't miss Chai Walla next to Sainsbury's near the Theatre Royal.

Amarone is nice Italian food, not cheap but nice too

We like the coconut tree (Sri Lankan) or the pubs near st michaels. There's a great one that has live jazz too. No idea what they are called of course! Otherwise you have all your normal chains, the thai is good particularly. There's a piano bar by the abbey that's a bit touristy aka expensive but good. Finally the market is on so you could just eat al fresco
