We’re going to be in Suffolk next week for a half term holiday, and need to be in Ipswich on Tuesday afternoon for something I’m taking my 4 year old to.
However, my husband has an important work call that he has to do, and needs to find somewhere quiet-ish near the Regent Theatre with good wifi where he can take the call for an hour.
Does anyone have any recommendations of where he can do this?
Also after any tips on what to do in Ipswich on an afternoon with a 4 year old?
Thank you!

Ipswich waterfront is a lovely marina with loads of boats and cafes - very fun for a four year old! 10 min walk from regent theatre south.

10 mins north of the theatre is Christchurch Park which is enormous and beautiful with a great big play area and a cafe.

Christchurch Mansion in Christchurch Park has some half term activities next week for young kids. Check the Colchester and Ipswich museums website. Ipswich museum is closed for renovation at the moment but the Mansion is lovely.
There are lots of coffee shops and pubs in the centre of Ipswich but as it’s half term you might be pushing your luck for somewhere quiet.

As for quiet places - hmmm. A hotel bar or foyer can be quiet during the day and normally have good wifi though he might consider tethering to his phone.

Mobile phone signal in the centre of Ipswich is mostly atrocious. Something to do with the number of lead roofs apparently. If he gets stuck last minute and has to rely on mobile best to drive to the north of Christchurch park and park on a quiet residential road.

There's a very nice cafe called Honey and Harvey which has a very quiet upstairs section and good Wi-Fi. I've never seen anyone in it as people mostly go upstairs to go to the loo. Half term though....
Salt House Hotel at the marina is very smart, he might find a quiet corner.
Most of the local pubs have decent Wi-Fi but open plan so even if they are v quiet anyone around will be listening to his conversation.

There's a nice little softplay at the Buttermarket shopping centre which would be perfect for an hour or so with a 4 year old

Suggestion- your DH reminds his work that he is on holiday and does not do the call.
