Center Parcs

I booked Center Parcs last night for August, rather than going abroad. I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old. Is there anything really for my toddler to even do? She loves to swim but this is only a few hours of each day of course.

Considering cancelling my booking and just going abroad like I was debating. We've never done a UK break before as it just isn't our favourite thing.

Loads to do!
There are paid activities, but also just being in the forest is great.
Nature walks, there's a beach to play on, chalk board in the cabin.
Our toddlers loved it, and we go every year. Both now nearly twenty- still enjoy it!

The swimming pools really are lovely so you can spend a lot of time there.
But, your kids aren't school age so if I was you I'd cancel and rebook for September when the school have gone back so you avoid the ridiculous school holidays prices. Unless you're a teacher of course!

Oo- yes good idea.
It'll be loads cheaper in September. Try that.

Don't go in term time and you will save a fortune.

Loads to do with a toddler.

You will find you spend much longer in the pool than you would normally as it's lively and warm.

Thanks for the feedback.

I am a teacher! DH's job is also restricted by parliament sitting - term times!

The kids pools are great.

There are a few playgrounds dotted about the parc that toddler should enjoy.

There is a beach at the lake so bring a bucket and spade to make sand castles.

She can use a toddler trolley in the Parc Market when you do any shopping and be a "big help to daddy"...

Find the wildlife centre and do the walk, talk to the rangers, there's usually some paw prints to do rubbings of and other colouring sheets.

Bring some chalk for the blackboard in the house - to draw, play X/O's, leave notes for each other

Sit in the bbq area of your cabin really quietly and watch the birds and wildlife around the place.

Bring a board game to play and a few favourite toys. I think they have dvd players as well (but it's been a couple of years since our last visit so confirm that from another source) - but could be good if there's a favourite disc to watch at home.

There are some activities suitable for younger DCs which are paid - kids club type things.

Dd loved it when younger and was never bored, we went a number of times. It's only now she's a late teen that it's "lame".
