Suffolk coast - ideas please

Hello

We are off for a holiday on the Suffolk coast, DH, 2 young adult DS and me.

Shingle Street (look up the rumours from world war 2)
Drinks at Woolverston Marina in the evening.
Orford Ness (look up the Wild Man of Orford)
Beccles is nice for a wander: the lido should be open or the Waveney House Hotel is right beside the broad.
Oulton Broad for pub lunch and walks.
Westleton Crown for dinner.

Southwold is very lovely ( well it would be as it's got a Seasalt etc...) but we loved the Adnams brewery tour , really interesting and the tour guide was very funny and informative.

The 'gift' shop is amazing. If you're a cook, you'll love it. If you're into ales and different types of drink you'll also love. We took our mid/late teens there and they loved it.

Wasn't too in thrall at Sutton Hoo but I think they've spent some money , recently, on upgrading the experience. Definitely worth a look though.

We've just got back from a lovely holiday in Suffolk. We followed your advice and thanks to you all we really got to see some great places!

Suffolk pubs are the best aren't they! We went to several you recommended on this thread after our days out visiting the various places.

Loved it. We had a brilliant holiday.

Thank you @MsAdoraBelleDearheartVonLipwig We went to a lot of the places people on this thread recommended. In fact, this thread was more or less our guide book!

Some of the places we went to: Orford, Snape, Minsmere, Aldeburgh, Southwold, Thorpeness, Dunwich, Walberswick.

And a pub each evening too. Suffolk pubs are fantastic!

Sssssshhhhss don’t tell everyone how lovely Suffolk is. 😎
