We have booked 4 nights for next week for myself, husband and nearly 2 year old. What activities would you say are worth it? Any restaurants you'd recommend or reckon should be avoided? Anything you think would be useful, I'd love to hear it!

we go to whinfell every year. Lakeside (the pub) is good as there is a big soft play for the little ones! There’s a soft play in the sports bar too but it isn’t quite as good! There is also a “secret” soft play/climbing area in the village centre that is accessed via some stairs next to cafe rouge, it says for over 5s but it’s always been quiet when we have been there and ours always loved it from being younger too!

We ate in hucks this year but didn’t rate it tbh…dexters burger bar is better and cheaper IMO!
At that age we just used the pool and the play parks mostly, there are two big parks one in front of the village centre and the other out of the back of the sports bar!
enjoy!

There’s a small beach at the lake. Make sure you pack your buckets and spades as it is the ideal place to relax for a an hour or so.
My top activities would be the baby owl experience, baby dolphins and the teddy bears picnic.
There are soft play areas indoor play areas in Lakeside Inn, Sports Café, Leisure Bowl and above Café Rouge.
If your 2yo isn’t a great walker and/or you aren’t staying close to the Center area then you’ll need a pushchair. Really useful for loading up with swim stuff and a picnic! It’s pretty pushchair friendly and there’s a large buggy park outside the leisure area.
We found that the curtains are very thin, so if your LO needs a dark room to sleep, you may want to take a black out blind and a small night light otherwise in the summer it may take them a while to drift off.
