Going centre parcs end of April when DD will be 7.5 months - has anyone got any experience of the bike trailers?

Would love to travel round in one but worried it won't be comfortable enough for DD

I personally wouldn’t risk it at that age, far too young imo

No they’re more suited to toddlers. (Aged 2-4 really) At 7 months the straps won’t be big enough to support them to stay upright and are likely to be too big to even hold them in on the seat - which was like a bench last time we used one.

I just pushed our baby around in the pram at that age whilst my DH cycled and DD went in the chariot ... I think DS was over 1 when he went in

Your child does sound very young. However I must say, riding a bike with one of these trailers and my dc inside was an absolute joy! It was like having my ducklings in tow, I loved it.. Grin

They're normally minimum age 12 months, but even at 1 DS was too small to fit securely in one so we waited until 18 months-2 years.

No.

My dd was eight months when we went and we have a photo of dd in the trailer that we took for comedy reasons to send to MIL. There is absolutely no way she could have been in there for real travel.

No. You can get bikes with baby carriers as far as I can remember.

Following with interest as we are going in mid May when my little one will also be 7 months. It says on their website that they are suitable for 6 months plus but I was wondering if that would work.
Please update the thread OP with how you get on. We've got 2 other children so have booked a trailer and DS1 will have his bike too. Also taking one of our own bikes which has a seat on the back and the buggy so hopefully we have all bases covered!

Thanks everyone - I did assume she would be too small which is a shame because that's half the fun of centre parcs!

Even more reason to book a return visit for next year...
