A firework free zone

Has anyone got any suggestions of where we can go (cottage, hut or place to take our caravan) which would be completely free of firework noise at NY. Bonfire weekend would be good too but is a bit more manageable for our dog because people generally stop by ten. Round us, at NY people seem to let off mortar bombs well past midnight. Dog is terrified and seeing her in such a state and then dealing with the aftermath sets my mental health awry. She does not react to any gunshot/firework noise on any tv, device. Sleeps through that.

Graig Wen cottages in Snowdonia

East Ruston cottages have a list of their cottages which are not affected by fireworks noise - North Norfolk and lovely and dog friendly. We stayed in the Walnut in the summer and it really is so far from anyone it would be perfect, but there are a few they recommend for quiet nights

Look for areas that are good for stargazing as less people about so less light polluting so less fireworks.
Northumbria, Snowdonia are two I know of

@CMOTDibbler Thank you. Had a look and Walnut looks lovely. I may chat to Sue as they only seem to do week bookings at NY and I will be back in school by the third.

@KathieFerrars yes, its well worth talking to Sue as I know they certainly had shorter breaks this year and she is also fantastic at knowing about each place, and there seems to be some flexibility if you ask

Too late for nye but for next time we have found that there's barely any in our new development (huge 10,000 people) as the houses have tiny gardens. We took the dog to the pub with us so the music covered any odd bangs. He's petrified of fireworks. The bigger issue is we could hear the New Year's Day pheasant hunt on Sunday, wind was in the wrong direction! Cue dog squeezing under sofa

@gogohmm I know what you mean about the shoot. We have to walk ours stupid early before bangs start in the morning. Can't be heard from our house but on the fields we walk. Husband has rightfully pointed out that even if we go somewhere and miss fireworks there may then be shooting. Ahhhhhhhhhhh.
