If you had 32 hours (ish) to go anywhere with DH where would you go?

We rarely have child free time but will have an overnight without any DC next year when DS1 is at respite while DS2&3 are away on a school trip.

This would massively depend on where you live, as, like others, I wouldn't want to spend hours and hours travelling for a 24 hr visit.

Dh and I would probably go to one of the National Parks and try to find a nice pub with an open fire for a lovely relaxing evening.

But if you want a town or City, have you been to Stratford ? A Lovely place to wander around if you don't want to do much or there are plenty of Shakespeare related buildings to visit, or you can get a boat on the river (either row yourself or go on a riverboat).

Careys manor in the New Forest is fabulous. The spa is amazing and there are lovely woodland and coastal walks nearby.

The Scarlet Hotel, Cornwall.

Le Manoir aux quat'saisons Belmond hotel in Oxford is amazing!

If you fancy feeling special this is the place to go.

Places you have mentioned suggest you would like Chester - great food, bars, lovely walks around the walls and in the park. Great theatre. Lots of lovely hotels too.

For a more rural stay with lots of walks look at the Grosvenor Pulford or The Pheasant in Burwardsley.

Or the Quay Hotel in Deganwy and explore Conwy, it's castle and streets. Visit Llandudno and walk the sea front etc

The coast somewhere. Nice seafood restaurant and lovely walk on the seafront or beach. Very invigorating

If you like country/coastal walks I would recommend Chewton Glen. Lovely place and a beautiful walk down to the coast there.

Northumberland coast.
