London with teens in Dec

Taking the teens to London in Dec for two nights. Friday and Sat night. Full day Sat and nearly full day Sun. What would your recommendations be? They did the museum type things when they were younger but think they would like markets, food and expensive branded shops now! (Not that they can afford them)! Does anyone have the perfect itinerary or things we should prioritise. We don't go to the big smoke very often! Grin

Shoreditch is great for all of this and my teens love it. You do can Brick Lane and then up to spitalfields, there are street art tours and can then do a lovely walk towards St. Paul’s and cross the bridge to tate modern (takes about 30 mins). Then walk along the south bank and cross bridge back to Covent Garden (or take bus if not up to all the walking 😉)

Sunday you have Columbia road flower market which is super busy but really good fun.

Battersea power station has just opened up and will have an ice rink in December (also somerset house, NH Museum and Canary Wharf).

Also my lot love Camden and you can walk along the canal to kings cross, which is super cool and loads of great places to eat. Also lots of free stuff during the summer, there’s a barge showing free films on the canal which looks great.
Enjoy, London is such a great city

Spitalfields market. Covent Garden and Seven Dials. Carnaby Street. The lights are always stunning in those places. Just wander. There are some amazing exhibitions on at the V&A at the moment.
Borough Market and Tate Modern. You could start at Tower Bridge and walk along the river to the south bank.

As PP suggested, I’d start at Shoreditch High Street and have a wander around that area, including Brick Lane and Spitalfields.
Beigel Bake and Box Park are both great places for lunch. From Spitalfields, it’s less than a mile to Sky Garden which is free to visit until 9pm on weekends. You will need a ticket and they’re available to book up to 3 weeks in advance. They do sell out very quickly though.
If you don’t mind the expense and the crowds, then I’d suggest spending an evening an Hyde Park Winter Wonderland for ice skating, the circus show, theme park rides, hot chocolate, gingerbread and cute market stalls.
