Dinner recommendations walking distance to Leicester Square

Dh and I are having a Christmas lights/ shopping trip to London the week before Christmas. Staying one night at premier inn Leicester Square.
Can anyone recommend any steak restaurants for dinner in about 20 minutes walking distance? Preferably not a chain.

Hawksmoor do a pre-theatre menu which is very reasonable- worth a look.

Gordon's Wine bar has an amazing atmosphere, even if just a warm up before your dinner reservation...!

Ooh yes somewhere nice for a drink before dinner would be a good idea!

Il Macellaio on Shaftesbury Ave. Italian fassona beef restaurant (plus other stuff) amazing steaks, great service and lovely venue
