Elevdon nice and flat with good swimming pool. I think the spa is closing for a while next year though.

BendingSpoons · 06/10/2022 19:49

Generally I'd go to the nearest one.
Elveden is well laid out and flat. Kids part of the pool is quite separate.
Woburn is the smallest so easier to get around. It's newer but forest is a bit less mature.
Longleat is more hilly and spread out apparently. I haven't been.
Not sure on the others as they are too far for us.

I'd agree with going to the nearest one if you're going to spending the duration of your trip on the site.

We do Sherwood as it's nice and flat, good swimming pool with really good kids section and good playgrounds/ soft play/ beach area

ChilliBandit · 07/10/2022 10:59

We’ve been to Longleat recently. It’s beautiful and all the staff were lovely but very very hilly. Cannot overstate the amount and steepness of the hills. I will say however some of the accommodation is probably due a refresh. We were in the 3 bed executive lodge and whilst perfectly clean and functional, it needed a lick of paint and some TLC.

BammBamm · 07/10/2022 11:09

Whinfell is having upgrades to the pool so we'll probably return after they are finished as it's closest to us. I liked Sherwood but have only been for the winter wonderland for a weekend. Longleat was just too much of a faff with all the hills and the land train isn't adequate. I have only been to those 3 but the others are further from us and we tend to go for a short break so too far to travel.

BammBamm · 07/10/2022 11:39

Forgot to say our Longleat lodge was damp and the cleaning at whinfell left a lot to be desired.

MrsDThomas · 07/10/2022 17:30

Ive never come across a hilly center parcs.

Trickleg · 17/10/2022 12:03

I have. Longleat genuinely hilly and Woburn has a good few slopes too

ShadowPuppets · 17/10/2022 12:08

We’ve been to Elveden and Longleat in the past 2 years. Elveden was lovely but a PITA to get to if you don’t live east of London - the A roads out to it take forever and we were only going from Surrey.

Longleat was fab, gorgeous scenery and facilities but yes to hills and yes to being more spread out. Hard work with a 2 yo and a baby! Would go back but probably not until kids are older and competent cyclists.

Annexlife · 17/10/2022 19:10

We've been to Longleat, Elveden and Woburn. We thought Woburn felt the most modern and ideal with young children as it's a small site. I thought the swimming at Elveden felt quite dated. We are returning to Longleat next year. It is hilly but we choose a lodge accordingly and have enjoyed having a bigger site to explore now the children are no longer babies.

Rebelmcstreettuff · 17/10/2022 19:44

Woburn is lovely, great size for getting about.
Every time we have stayed here the accommodation has been fabulous.
Can't say the same for Sherwood which is very tired now.

There’s a Facebook group called Center Parcs Hints & Tips, might be worth joining. There are lots of recommendations, discussions, insider info etc
