Where should we go on holiday in November?

DH is starting a new job in November, and we will have 11 days between him ending his old job and starting a new one. We will have a 4 month old by then. We'd like to use the time to go on holiday as we didn't get away this summer (as I gave birth in July).

Somewhere picturesque and restful would be great. Don't mind if it's in the UK or abroad. I was thinking centerparcs but the dates we're available don't work with their booking system. We love mountains, lakes and forests. If it's abroad, it will need to have easy connections to an airport.

Any ideas for destinations and hotels?

thanks!

Also, it needs to be fairly affordable.

Madeira?
Should still be reasonable weather in November and apparently very picturesque.
I'd booked for DH and I to go, but I don't trust DS 16 on his own so we'll maybe go next year.

We'd booked through Jet2holidays and a 4 star hotel with flights and transfers was coming in about £1000 for a week.

Norway 😍 perfect. We did an air bnb in Bergen with 1 and 3 year olds one nov/Dec and it was my fave, such a restorative vibe.

Oh yes, passport, good point.

We just took 4 mo DD to Greece, couldn’t register her until she was 8 weeks old (no appts), then passport took 10 weeks to come, came just in time!

New forest? Used to love taking mine in November for walks in the forests when they were babies, and then stop at the pub for lunch!
Can stay in a lodge on a site.

Have you tried the European centre parks? We're going to the one in Paris in late November combined with a trip to Disney Paris. They're much cheaper than the UK ones x

Places by the coast are a must.
