Help me find my dream holiday in North Wales

So this may not exist but if anyone knows I reckon MN will. Just doing research for next year. Really want to go to North Wales coast with another family - they are 4 people, we are 5. Ideally we would be together/apart, so in next door properties or same complex. (Could be a caravan park, but prefer cottages or apartments). Ideally very near coast, some outside space for kids to run around, nice cooking facilities. That's it really

I'm biased as I live on Anglesey.
There are lots of good beaches, and things to do. You are also striking distance to Snowdonia for good walking etc.
If you want to do castles (Conwy/Caernarfon/Beaumaris) I suggest staying South side of Anglesey so you are closer to the bridges. North side of the island is lovely but a good 30 mins from the bridge (45-1 hour if you get behind a slow caravan).
Benllech beach is lovely, but gets very crowded, Lligwy a bit further north is often quieter. Also recommend Betws Y Coed in Snowdonia for a day trip.
I'm not so good on accomodation recs as I live here, but there are lots and lots of options.

Thank you @YnysMonCrone sounds idyllic. I have only been to South Wales

Glan Morfa cottages sound like they would work, we have stayed there with family before and having separate cottages worked well.

However looking at the website, they’ve done it up a bit since we were there and converted the games room into another cottage. May still be worth taking a look though, it’s a great location.

I echo all of the above. Anglesey is a great hub with plenty of places withing an hour away to visit. The beaches are stunning. Lligwy is beautiful but also on the West coast there is Newborough which is huge and with plenty of parking. Menais Bridge and Beaumaris have some lovely places to eat out. The coastal path around the island is wonderful.

I love the Llyn Peninsuala but find Aberdaron and Abersoch is just too crowded in the Summer. It is fantastic off season though.

If you wanted to stay further to the east then Morfa Conwy is a lovely beach - there is a caravan site right next to it, but I don't know what it is like as I have never stayed there. This puts you within very easy driving distance of Conwy, Llandudno (don't miss the Orme- it's lovely), Bodnant Gardens is well worth a trip too.

Bodnant is aNT - also really good NT properties in the area are Penrhyn Castle and Plas Newydd. For the children I really rate Greenwood Park and a visit to Llanberis with the free museums and the lake. Beddgelert and the tale of the dog may also appeal to your children. Betws Y Coed is lovely for walks - don't miss the Swallow Falls and the minature train by the station. If you like steam trains there are several stations - Caernafon, Beddgelert, Portmadog. If you are really adventurous Bounce Below and Zip World are great.

I don't know how high your budget is but this company have some absolutely amazing properties in the area. It would be more than I could afford, but one day.... www.boltholesandhideaways.co.uk/

I think Llandudno is a good base, two beaches, the Great Orme with tram and cable cars, the pier. Nearby places of interest include the zoo in Colwyn Bay (which also has a beach), and Conwy Castle, and Bodnant Gardens.

If you want a large unusual self catering property on Anglesey then Ynys Castell near Menai Bridge is lovely.

Depending on your budget, you can stay at Port Meirion in the cottages. You could rent a luxury lodge privately on The Warren at Abersoch. I own luxury lodges with hottubs (next door to each other) and three minutes walk from the beach. They are in Gwynnedd. I don't have prices for next year yet because they are looked after by a third party.

Anglesey gets another vote here. We recently stayed in a cottage in Beaumaris booked through
www.boltholesandhideaways.co.uk/.
It was fabulous and a great base for exploring the island. Our favourite beach is probably Newborough which is huge and just beautiful. At certain times you can wall out to Llanddwyn Island which is a lovely walk We also did a brilliant high speed boat trip from Beaumaris out to Puffin Island which was great fun.

Have you seen this on another thread?

North Wales really has something for everyone.
Personally the area around llandudno, Conwy has loads going on, great beaches even quiet ones on days when the main ones are packed. If you hit bad weather you can drive to Chester or Liverpool for a great day out in under 90 mins.

The Llyn Peninsular is magnificent, I feel some of the UK's best beaches. We just came back last night, but if the weather is poor there is not as much going on.
Some ideas here

Now if you want plenty to do on site a few friends have recently been here and really enjoyed it. Its a good base for the whole area.

Its not for everyone but great value and the kids would love it.

If you want more upmarket The Warren in Abersoch is very nice but about £3000 a week for a caravan sorry Chalet!
We stay in an old motor home on the Abersoch Golf Club Carpark for £20 a night, so it is available to all budgets. We have since found a better proper camp site down the road with spectacular views for £22!
