Hi guys,

Am from Tamworth so Birmingham is my city. Haven't been with the girls so wondered what I can do of a day there with DD4 and DD7?

They like fancy food places and cakes etc. They like walking around galleries and things so they are quite flexible and good walkers. 1

Recommendations for brunch/lunch and an activity to do together.

I will drive and park outside city- good parking locations with train or tram link?

Driving from Northamptonshire way.

The kitty cafe maybe.
or the museum and art gallery has some pop up exhibitions atm and the famous edwardian tea rooms.
the library is worth a visit and the ikon gallery is near there.
be warned the common wealth games are on 28th july till the 8th august so it will be busy.

Think tank museum is very good for those ages.

Oh thanks for the quick replies guys.

Will have a look at the library too.

Any ideas on parking? Not in the centre though please.

If you park in Digbeth it’s £4 for the day. Or there are park and ride train stations dotted all around Birmingham so check out the tfwm website for info.
depending on the dates you go there are events in Victoria square too.

Excellent. Have just checked out Digbeth parking. :-)

The National Sealife Centre and Legoland Discovery Centre are great for that age and within easy walking distance of each other. I think you can get combination tickets for both of them. Last time we visited, we ate at Piccolino where the dc received kids activity packs and made their own ice cream sundae for dessert!

Xtraincome · 15/07/2022 09:23

Didn't even realise there's a lego discovery centre! Combi tickets for Sea Life and Lego are £32 so not too bad.

You can probably tell the only times I've been have not involved the DDs. I know great cocktail places though lol 😆

Park at Chester road station as it’s free.
How about Kitty cafe or afternoon tea somewhere then a visit to the think tank or sea life centre?

The Birmingham Back to Back, by the Chinese Quarter are really fun. Legoland etc is a bit out the centre
