know this a bit old now nappyaddict but we're off to camber too! Sun holidays! fabo. not sure what accom we've got - friend booked it all for us! half term week in feb, can't wait!

Do you know if it has an indoor pool? ta

I was going to do a sun holiday but as MIL looks after Tom when i'm at work we have to holiday when they do. And they chose July/August! Not a happy bunny as i'd saved all the tokens too!

And you have to pay for hire of linen so i'd assume you pay for a cot.

nappyaddict · 10/04/2008 17:31

anyone whos been there on a sun holiday did you take your own bed linen or did you pay the £10?

decided not to get a cot in the end cos its £10 for a cot and you are only allowed to have a cot on a ground floor apartment and you have to pay another £5 for that. i don't think it's very fair. imo if you are hiring a cot you shouldn't have to pay the £5 for a ground floor apartment just cos they won't let you have a cot on a first floor one. that's hardly our fault is it!

I'm sorry but Pontins is a bit dire. Camber is beautiful and the beach gorgeous though.. so aim to use Pontins as a place to stay (the best rooms you can manage because even they aren't great!) and enjoy the beach.

We went a couple of years ago and it was the worst holiday we have ever had. So much so that we steer well clear of the Sun thing now. We paid the little Sun amount and then ended up paying a fortune for electric, bedding etc. The rooms were hideous and freezing and it was just horrible. However, that was a couple of years ago and is probably loads better now.

It does have an indoor pool but EVERYTHING was closed when we went. The only open thing were the arcades for machines. Apart from that, it was pretty rubbish.

We went a few years ago. 3 kids who were 1 and 2.
My friends were in budget and it was awful freezing cold. It was snowing though. Really unloved sort of place.
We were in the next one up from that. Can't remember what it was called. Ours was warmer and nicer inside.
We didn't use the facilities really. Went on the beach and to a nearby zoo.
2 of us were pregnant at the time.

It should be much nicer in may. we went in feburary. Must be mad!!!

Lazylou · 10/04/2008 19:12

Think it was August/September time NA, but as PM said, should be much nicer in May.

nappyaddict · 10/04/2008 19:13

shocked that stuff was close in aug/september. surely that's their busiest time. bit worried now.
