Have a wonderful time.

We love it …. Went in March .. booked again for March 2023

You won’t venture out of the park when you’re there … maybe plan to have a look around the area before or after the visit. Right on the Lake District so lots of places to visit.

starsparkle08 · 26/05/2022 20:13

Really looking forward to it. Have you tried the spa ? What was it like.

It's brilliant we've been a few times, most recently in April. The pool is fantastic because even in bad weather you've got something to do. The forest is beautiful and all the lodges are right amongst the trees, its quite magical! Everywhere is clean and well kept.

Another vote for you’ll probably stay on the park. Lots to do. We’ve been several times although decided to give it a miss this year due to the cost.

Pancake house is fab, zip line if your DS is adventurous. There are several FB groups for CP that give you loads of tips. I bought the stick on bird feeders after a recommendation on there and every morning we were visited by red squirrels, ducks and swans.

mnahmnah · 26/05/2022 20:27

The spa is amazing!

If you want a trip out Ullswater lake is not far at all. Aira Force waterfalls is a lovely easy woodland walk, you can also do a boat trip from there on the lake. My DS is only a baby, but he loved it in the woods and we had a lovely picnic by the lake.

I’m going in the summer - can’t wait! Bit random, but what size is the fridge in a 3 bed lodge? Need to work out how much food we can take!

starsparkle08 · 26/05/2022 20:37

Thankyou - great links

Yes I’m interested in fridge freezer size too .

We also don't tend to leave, quite happy pottering around there's so much to do.

Re the fridge and freezer, the lodge's we've had have had a full size (single) fridge freezer and also a wine cooler.

lunar1 · 26/05/2022 20:48

The fridge is an under the counter one, with a freezer compartment inside.

The fridge and freezer are both really small, we always take a cooler box and have that plugged in in the kitchen otherwise we wouldn't be able to fit everything in the under-counter fridge!

Trickleg · 29/05/2022 09:38

We have stayed there a couple of times - love it. It’s about 45 minutes to Keswick so we’ve driven there and gone round the lake before, or gone to Pooley Bridge for the top of Ullswater. Aira Force lovely too.

Trickleg · 29/05/2022 09:39

There’s no way of doing laundry though, so take plenty of clothes since from experience when it rains, it really rains…

starsparkle08 · 29/05/2022 10:54

We’ve booked a exclusive lodge with hot tub as going in term time as my son is autistic with adhd . Also I’m taking a carer with me . Does anyone know if parking still in main car park as it says dedicated parking near by. I’ve messaged center parcs and it’s still not clear

I’m not generally a big CP fan but this one is much nicer than the Nottingham one

ParadiseLaundry · 03/07/2022 14:02

Just bumping this thread as we are going next week, booked last minute and never been before and really have no idea what to expect to also looking for tips.

What are the kitchen facilities like? There'll be 5 adults and 2 kids (3 and 6), if the fridge is small can I prepare meals at home to take and heat up? Is that better than trying to prep a meal from scratch there?

We've got a 2 story 4 bed lodge if that's relevant.

Summerofcontent · 03/07/2022 14:09

@ParadiseLaundry the 4 bed houses normally have 2 under counter fridges with freezer compartments

Cooker is gas and some people complain about the ovens and some find them ok
I guess if you're used to cooking in a gas oven you'll be fine

ParadiseLaundry · 03/07/2022 14:23

Thanks @Summerofcontent that's really useful to know.

I am in same boat only no cater. I called them and they said you can take your car to the lodge to unload it but have to park it in the main area the rest of the time unless you get a disabled lodge x

starsparkle08 · 03/07/2022 15:44

I rang centre parcs and they said with an exclusive lodge you can leave car at the cabin . So I’m so relieved 😅
