Iron bridge

Hi I’m planning a trip to ironbridge for 3 nights. So would have 2 full days and potentially the leave day to spend there. With two kids under 8. Is that enough time to do everything without it being a rush?
Also have an option to stay for a bit longer but would be in Telford. Is it easy to drive into ironbridge and park? This would be at half term so not sure how busy it would be.
Thank you

@Lilyminilli Hiya. I have family in Ironbridge so visit quite a bit.

The main places I would recommend for young kids are Blists Hill living museum (you could spend a whole day here) and Enginuity which is a hands on museum. Both of them are slightly outside ironbridge and have their own parking.
The town itself is lovely to walk along the river, cross the bridge, go to Dale End park and stop in the cafes. You could do this in just one day.
I'd highly recommend Telford Town park - it is absolutely incredible for young children with loads of play equipment plus go ape type paid for things. We tried Frisbee golf last time which was bonkers but my DS9 really loved it.

Parking in ironbridge itself is tricky- there are 2 main car parks and at holidays and weekends, you'd need to get there early to get a spot plus lots of the b&b's have got rid of their parking in favour of outside eating. So make sure you clarify parking if you're staying in Ironbridge itself.

You could probably do the key bits in two and a half days. If you do stay on an extra day in Telford you could use that day to go to Blist's Hill - there's plenty of parking on site and it's easy to get to from Telford. Weather permitting it's pretty much a whole day.

Then you could do the town, Enginuity, the pottery and the historical museums on the two days you're based in the town. Again weather permitting there are some lovely walks. If you're staying another day in Telford then Cosford Air Museum is great with DC.

I visited for work in August so in full school holiday mode. Parking was much easier than I expected with several spaces in the Dale End car park and available spaces along the Wharfage (river front) although these have a time limit of 45 mins.
