Looking to book centre parcs for Christmas break including Christmas Day . Has anyone done this before and would you recommend it , what was the vibe like .I would like my kids have a winter wonderland experience . Did you have a Christmas meal there . I would like to hear the whole experience any advise is welcome trying to figure out if it’s worth the money.

I’ve done it twice, each time for a week. We didn’t have Christmas dinner out but did have lots of other special meals out. Christmas Eve brunch with Santa, Boxing Day champagne brunch, pizza making etc. We did a horse and carriage ride, lots of Christmas craft stuff, Santa’s grotto, put the DC in the clubs and had a spa session. Basically the more money you have for activities the better. The decorations are beautiful and we had a real tree and decorations delivered to out lodge.
We had snow one year and that was magical.

We had a Turkey crown and all the trimmings delivered to the lodge and cooked it.

Thanks@Jerseygirl12 if you don’t mind me asking which centre parcs was that . I have never done centre parcs so I don’t know which one to go for.

Personally I wouldn’t. We went in November and although quite pretty with all the lights and Christmas theme.. it’s an absolute rip off. Pay £££££ for you stay.. then pay ££££ for every single thing you want to do there. You could have a much better time somewhere else for a fraction of the cost.

We vowed to never go back to a centre parcs.

MrsBiden I went to Longleat. I’ve been to the others too but this one is near relatives so we bought guest passes for them to visit us as our Christmas meet up.
Yes it is expensive and the activities do add up, as I said earlier they made the holidays for us. I did a lot of overtime and spent the whole of it booking lots of really lovely things to do. I don’t think I’d go if I didn’t want to spend much money.

Absolutely loved doing this. It was fabulous!
We had our own hot tub and sauna in the lodge, Christmas delivered to us including the tree.
It was magical. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

I did this as a kid and it was the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER. No stuffy relatives to worry about, swimming on Xmas day and then instead of Xmas dinner we all got to choose our favourite meal and mum sorted that instead. Luckily, parents had fillet steak and chips, I wanted a Linda McCartney ready meal and my brother a burger so there wasn't too much complicated cooking!!

We go between Christmas and New Year- one year we went for New Year itself. The vibe is great! DS thought it was utterly magical at 4-7ish and it's not cheesy for adults. We stay in the flats bit because they are more central and there's less point to a villa in the winter.

The best thing about CP in the winter is swimming in the dark. The mist and lights in the outdoor pool make it look amazing.

It’s nice to here from the perspective of someone who went as a child.
