Definitely have brunch at Fitzbillies. The Chelsea Buns are world famous.
St John’s College truly is an amazing place to see in Cambridge. Christ’s College is also stunning. It’s one of the more central colleges so is fairly easy to get to no matter where you are in town. When you’re there, make sure to see the Great Gate on St. Andrew’s Street.
You must see inside Kings College Chapel. You can book onto a guided tour or if you’d prefer, you can wander around at your own pace.
Market Square has lots of independent traders and craft stalls.
St Mary’s Chruch is, in my opinion, the best (publicly accessible) viewpoint in all of Cambridge.
The Quy Mill Hotel is good for afternoon tea. There is quite a range to choose from.
If you fancy a walk, then Grantchester village is only a mile or so away from the city centre. And if you fancy a bite to eat, there's a selection of pubs to choose from like The Red Lion or The Rupert Brooke. Personally I’d recommend The Orchard Tea Garden.
The Cambridge Gin Laboratory specialises in making tailor-made gin based on your taste preferences.

Botanic Gardens
Various university museums
Canoe/punt/bike hire
Wimpole Hall and Anglesey Abbey (especially if you're already NT members)

I like the polar scott museum a lot. It's small but much more interesting than I expected.

The museum for computing history is a bit out of the way but utterly brilliant. I'm so glad they've reopened it with covid. www.computinghistory.org.uk/

What kind of food do they like?

Guided punt or try punting on college backs
Also a lovely day trip would be to canoe or kayak to Granchester and have lunch at the Orchard for afternoon tea or salad etc and cake or one of the pubs. Use Scudamores or similar.
