Premier inn toiletries

I can see on the website that they provide shower gel, but do Premier inn supply shampoo in their rooms? Thanks

They provide a combined shower gel and shampoo. I wouldn’t recommend it, I always take my own.

DigitalGhost · 28/07/2021 20:56

They have a shower gel dispenser. It's crap take your own.

HermioneWeasley · 28/07/2021 20:56

It’s awful stuff, very drying. Definitely take your own

DogsSausages · 28/07/2021 20:57

No they dont. They have a dispenser on the bathroom wall, I always take my own and use theirs as bubble bath.

Eleoura · 28/07/2021 20:58

They have one of those pump things attached to the wall, like the hand wash dispenser you might get in a supermarket/shopping centre loo! Take your own mini bottle, otherwise its like washing you hair in fairy liquid!

Blankspace4 · 28/07/2021 20:59

Definitely take your own! Pick up a few travel bits from boots or Superdrug if you’re travelling light, they usually do a 3 for 2 and includes deodorant, mini toothpaste etc

Mrsjayy · 28/07/2021 21:00

As others have said there is a dispenser with combigel I wouldn't wash my hair with it take a bottle i of your own

Mrsjayy · 28/07/2021 21:01

Yes superdrug do travel size as do bodycare

CosmicComfort · 28/07/2021 21:04

The toiletries are crap, smells like pine toilet cleaner and it’s shit for your hair.

DoYouRememberTheInnMiranda · 28/07/2021 21:05

My hair got greasy the next day after I'd used it - it's rubbish

FudgeFlake · 28/07/2021 21:08

Actually the one by the wash basin was absolutely fine when I washed my hands after maahoosive breakfast. Didn't even try the stuff in the bath/shower zone though.

Mrsjayy · 28/07/2021 21:12

I've used it as shower gel/hand soap but just not my hair dh used it as an all over Hmm

NCTDN · 28/07/2021 21:21

Great thank you!

You'd be better off using the tea bags that are in the room for washing your hair as they're horrible for making a cup of tea. 🤮

FudgeFlake · 28/07/2021 21:49

We did a bit of holiday with Premier Inns as three nights of the ten we were away. The bedroom tea was utterly grim. I don't like PG tips at the best of times and their mini bags were even more yuk than the supermarket version.

FudgeFlake · 28/07/2021 21:57

HOWEVER... Beds were very comfy. Breakfasts (cost extra), one rather meh, one pretty good, one utterly gorgeous. Dinners, one quite good, one not utterly awful but definitely not good enough to leave a tip. Ate elsewhere the third night.

Wifi utterly shit and useless. Don't bother with the extra charge they make for it. Virgin Media just keep making you re-sign in every 30 seconds demanding all sorts of info so they can bombard you with ads for the rest of your life.

Bathroom - once we'd worked out the utterly strange hot water system for the shower - gorgeous.

NCTDN · 29/07/2021 07:59

@FudgeFlake how do the breakfasts work these days?

Full buffet where I am right now (Premier Inn London Docklands)

NCTDN · 29/07/2021 10:23

I assume the buffet is served to you though, rather than helping yourself?

Our breakfasts were cancelled last week (Kent) as the Beefeater next door was closed due to the pingdemic. Went elsewhere or bought cereals for the room on days we were having a pub lunch. I asked reception for extra milks but brought our own tea and coffee as their coffee sachets aren't nice either.

Brought own toiletries but the handwash gel was fine.

Geamhradh · 29/07/2021 10:28

Gel is fine for hands and showers I find, but not hair.
Remember if you run out of tea, coffee, milk for the room there's usually a big help yourself box in reception.
Bloody love Premier Inn.

GetOffThatTable · 29/07/2021 10:39

We stay at Premier Inns all the time, it is our go to hotel. We stayed in one in June, never had issues with the wifi. For breakfast we just went to a McDonalds nearby. The Premier Inn breakfasts are lovely but due to still being in lockdown we decided on McDonalds instead.

There is a foam handsoap dispenser by the sink for hand washing and then a shower gel/body gel combined gel dispenser on the wall over the bath. At a push I would use it to wash my body but never my hair.

emmathedilemma · 29/07/2021 11:36

I was in one before the restrictions got lifted and they were serving breakfast to order. It was very quiet (3 tables occupied) and still took quite a while for the food to come and there was only 1 member of waiting staff and she was back and forth for everything anyone wanted. I wasn't in a rush but if I had been it could have been an issue. I asked the girl what was happening after the lifting and she said they were planning to reinstate the buffet on days when it was quiet and keep table service for busier days to avoid people clustering around the buffet.
The food was still good but I missed being able to graze indefinitely, although it was probably no bad thing for the waistline!
Definitely don't wash your hair in their shower gel / shampoo!!

twilightcafe · 29/07/2021 12:22

@NCTDN

I assume the buffet is served to you though, rather than helping yourself?
Nope. Help yourself. You had to order porridge or poached eggs, but that was the only restriction.
