Bath for the weekend

I’m taking dds to Bath for a weekend the end of July, Friday to Monday. So far I’ve booked the obvious Roman baths, what else is good to book?
I haven’t been in years, pre children. Any tips gratefully received Smile

Depends what you like! There's good shopping but do you like vintage or new? If you like astronomy then the Herschel museum is great. Mr B'a book emporium is a fantastic book shop. Personally I'd just go for a huge wander. The architecture is wonderful and there are so many interesting shops and galleries.

No 1 Royal Crescent is definitely worth doing. You don’t say how old your dd is, but there’s a children’s trail for younger kids.
You probably won’t have to prebook, but I’d recommend a boat trip. We went with Pulteney Cruises.
Try and eat at Sally Lunn’s. It doesn’t take bookings during the day, but the turn around is quite quick and it’s not a long wait to be seated if there’s a queue. The kitchen museum is free if you eat there.

Dds are 11 and 10. The eldest loves history. The youngest would go with the flow and would like a boat tour I’d say.
Thanks for the ideas.

Open top bus tour is great, and also gives discount on admission to some attractions (we did the Baths and then the bus so missed the discount, curses)

The fashion museum is interesting. Although you may have to book.

The Skyline Walk is lovely, and if you have a car, the American Museum in Bath was a hit with the kids, has a playground and stunning gardens.

We loved the Roman Baths - there's a kids audio trail, and took pastries up to the Royal Crescent for breakfast one morning.

There is a huge playground in Victoria Park
