Things to do in Scotland with toddler

I’m getting so overwhelmed by all the things I would love to do on holiday in Scotland at the end of the month but can’t cause we have a toddler.
We are staying in Stirling and head to Crail for a wedding. hiring a car so happy to drive but I think max 2 hours preferably a lot shorter than that.
There are just so many things I would love to do but can’t cause when places are for children it’s for 4+
Any suggestions wise ones?

Already on the list is safari park and an aquarium (not sure which yet).

Would love to do an afternoon tea somewhere that is properly child friendly doesn’t just tolerate them.

I’ve looked at science museum and natural history museum but have just done all those places in London in the last few weekends so sort of feels like we would just be repeating everything.

Please help! So rubbish at holiday planning.

Boat tour on Loch Lomond
Briarlands Farm
Bike hire lochlomond-scotland.com/activities/bike-hire/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIq52mve3J8QIV0-vtCh0kEgS2EAAYASAAEgKc8PD_BwE

If you want a child friendly afternoon tea, I’d head into Edinburgh (probably by train rather than car). The Grand Cafe is right by the station and does a children’s afternoon tea grandcafeedinburgh.co.uk/afternoon-tea/ There are loads of things you can do with a toddler in Edinburgh, like Dynamic Earth, the butterfly and insect world, and Camera Obscura.

Stirling castle. A boat trip on Loch Lomond. Visit to an alpaca farm.

Falkirk wheel
Kelpies and helix park
Blair Drummond safari oark
Stirling castle
Train into Edinburgh - national museum is great for toddlers and there’s big open spaces in princes street gardens and the meadows to run around.
Conifox
Almond valley farm park
Muddy Boots (Cupar, might be a bit too far)
Queen Elizabeth forest
I think there’s boat trips on loch Katrine
Callendar is lovely for a wander and I think you can walk along the river.

Muddy boots can be en route between Stirling and Crail if you go via Pitlessie. So can the Deer Centre. They're on two different roads towards Cupar, so it depends which one you take. Cairnie Fruit farm/Mega Maze is also on the way. If you go the other way via Leven there's Blacketyside (as you can tell, there's a few different routes to take!)

When you're in Crail the coastal areas are all great, but the best loved sandy beaches with shallow paddling waters are at Elie.

The fairie trail at Luss (Loch Lomond) is absolutely lovely. Luss also has a nice new playground and as others have said you can do a boat trip. Great day out.

Stirling castle and Wallace monument. Milk barn for ice cream. Wellsfield farm park ( can do pony rides too). Kelpies and Falkirk wheel, both have good parks. The beach will be their favourite I'm sure though, mine have always been able to spend hours there, whatever age. Lochore Meadows, great park and loch. Loch Leven can go on a boat trip to a castle.

Sit and throw stones in Loch Ard.
Start the climb up Dumyat - you won't get far, but the views are great even 100m up the path.
Visit the goat farm and have an ice-cream they make from the milk at Venachar Farm (on Forest Drive, near Aberfoyle).
Visit David Marshall Lodge and head to the nature play area ( take wellies, the water play area is brilliant).

I think everyone has covered all the things I was thinking of and added a few I might take my own kids to. I don’t think wellsfield is open this year unless you’re staying in the lodges. I’d book the safari park if you’re going, it gets quite booked up, similar with briarlands which is really good too.
The Aquarium loch lomond is my favourite quite small but big enough for a toddler to enjoy it. My kids are 10/11 and still love it.

I live in stirling and love it here so hope you have a lovely holiday & the weather is good to you.
