Family rooms with 17 and 13 year old

Hello

Does anyone know or can recommend any hotels (chains or otherwise) that are OK with having a 17 year old in a family room?

Looking at South of UK rather than up North.

Can't afford 2 rooms and we still enjoy hanging out in 1 room ☺.

Thanks

You’ll probably just have to tell a porkie and that he’s 15

Any time i have booked family rooms ..you select age of child on checkout ..
And it goes upto 17 .

How odd that you need to state ages, I’ve booked large rooms with multiple beds when staying in hotels with a group of adults.

You only need to put ages in if you say you have children with you .
Dont know if they are priced chreper ?

we always use Premier Inns, my son is 17, I still want a double bed for me so I book family room not a twin. No difference in cost of room.

I don't try to pass him off as under 15 for the free breakfast though, I pay for that !

We thought Premier Inns only went up to 16 years of age for family rooms? She is a very tall 17 year old and it would be trick to pass her off as younger...

We were never questioned about ages for family rooms. Most premier inns have digital check ins anyway.

Youth hostels do family rooms.

Ted27 · 26/06/2021 13:20

Premier Inn charge by room, I just did a random search. Same price whether it was 1 adult, 2 adults in a double or twin, 2 adults and 1/2 children in a family room

Self check in so rarely see anyone at the desk.

It’s age 2-15 to count as a child on premier inn website. You get a double or king sized bed even if you book a twin room.
Youth hostels usually have rooms for 4-6 people that you can book for exclusive use.. it might mean bunk beds though!
Jury’s Inn are one of the few I know that do 3 adults but I don’t know if they can accommodate a 4th person too (I suspect not from the rooms I’ve stayed in).

I share a travelodge family room with my two friends and we are in our 40’s! And Premier Inn as well.

Ted27 · 26/06/2021 17:42

Not sure what the issue is really, particularly with Premier Inn, the room charge is the same, it's not as if you are trying to get a 17 year old in on a childs price
