West coast Wales/north Wales

I’m planning a roadtrip from Swansea to Snowdonia via the Elan Valley and then over to the midlands for our summer holiday.

We definitely want to do the Llanberis Pass, the underground trampoline park and zip world.

I’d love some hotel recommendations and ideas about where to visit. I’ve never gone further than Machynlleth before so I really want to explore the best of north Wales. We are planning for the trip to last around a fortnight and it’s just me and two teenagers. I will be working (I’m self employed) so I will need hotels with good WiFi.

We will end up in Warwick but what I really want are recommendations for north Wales.

We’ve just lived through building work so we definitely do not want anything that remotely resembles camping but self catering options are also welcome.

As you enter Snowdonia from the south, stop at Corris Steam Railway, King Arthur’s Labyrinth and/or Corris Mine Explorers. There are several hotels in that area.
I think you should then stop for another couple of nights near zip world (presuming you mean the one at Slate Caverns), and from there drive out to the National White Water Centre.
From there you could probably do a day of driving up to Conwy, via the Mountain Railway and Llanberis Pass. Stay there for a few nights, so you get a couple of whole days. I’d spend one of them exploring the beaches and then drive down to Snowdonia Adventure Park (the surfing is amazing!)

The North is excellent it has it all in a compact area sea, mountains, busy places tranquil places.
If you have a root around here you should get some ideas.

Harlech - for the castle and stunning beach

Conwy is very pretty, castle, boat trip from the harbour, over the bridge to Llandudno, for cable car or steam railway up the Great Orme, copper mine on the Orme worth a visit. Llandudno snow sports centre with tobaggan run and tubing
walk or train up Snowden, lots to do round Llanberis - Electric Mountain and National Slate Musuem

Be aware that the trains will not be running to the top of Snowdon this year. If you want to get to the summit you will need to walk both ways.

I've looked at the train website today and it's only the steam train that isn't running. The diesel still is apparently but the visitor centre is closed
