Hi,

In late May we're going to near Cinderford and staying at Forest Holidays cabins. Can any locals offer any knowledge of things to do with a two year old?

I am going to do some research but you can't beat local knowledge. Maybe places with farm animals or a wildlife park etc

Hopefully it will be dry but rainy weather suggestions welcome too

Thanks

Not a local but a veteran of many holidays there as a child myself, although when I was a bit older than your DC, so a lot of the places we went might not be suitable. It's a lovely area, though.

Puzzle Wood is nice for little ones: puzzlewood.net/

There’s a gruffalo trail and great play area at Beechenhurst www.forestryengland.uk/beechenhurst There’s another Gruffalo trail at Dean Heritage Centre.
In case of wet weather, check out the Wye Valley butterfly zoo

Ooh we stayed there when the kids were little it was great. We loved Puzzle Wood and the kids loved going on a boat trip I think there was a crazy golf place near where we got the boat from. There is also a walk from the holiday park to Symonds Yat I cant remember how far it was but we did it with a 3 year old so it cant be too far.
