Hi all,

Currently in a med risk COVID area in England, have a booking during half term at an Airbnb property In Wales.
Don't want to cancel, would love to go away with family, like us all, really need a mini break. But, after today's announcement guessing that we won't be able to go. Can't afford to lose the money paid but can't find anything that clearly states that Airbnb considered same as hotels??

Anyone had anything similar?

Guidelines stating that hotels will have to shut.

Can I go on holiday in Wales or the rest of the UK?

No. Travelling into Wales for a holiday is not one of the permitted reasons under the Regulations

If you have pre-booked – and paid for a holiday – we would advise you to contact the travel agent or travel company to discuss the current situation in Wales and the restrictions which have been put in place by the Welsh Government to restrict non-essential travel. You should also contact your travel insurer to discuss the situation – while many insurers have designed policies with coronavirus exclusion clauses, some annual policies may cover this situation

Ladyfannybutton thank you for the info. I couldn't seem to find anything yesterday, so much info to trawl through! That makes it pretty clear.
Messaged our Airbnb host and they've agreed to a full refund as our original booking was before March lockdown. Feel very relieved and grateful. Wouldn't have felt right to go even if it had been permitted. X
