Baby waking ALL night for feeds 😥

My 5 month old has taken to waking every 2 hours for feeding during the night. She’s never slept for very long periods but we had just about got to stretches of 3 or 4 hours.
I had put this down to teething / growth spurts but has been going on weeks now and I’m tearing my hair out!!
She has been pretty much EBF although has taken bottles of expressed milk. I’ve tried giving a bottle before bed but this hasn’t helped.
I’m now starting to wean onto formula and food as I thought it was hunger waking her but seeing more about sleep associations - she only goes to sleep on me after a feed.
Does anyone have my advice or tips as to how to break this association and get her to sleep for longer periods?
TIA x

You need to stop feeding her when she wakes and settle her without food. If you have a DP get them to do it because the baby won't be able to smell the milk and should settle more easily.

At bedtime, feed, but not to sleep. Then put her down awake and soothe her to sleep without milk.

Thank you! We started this last night but unfortunately for DP he needs to be the one to do it as DD wasn’t having it so we’ll try get started at the weekend when he isn’t working.
Will also give some day nap sleep training a try. Am not looking forward to it!

My DD did this until she she was 18 months old. She woke every 90 minutes to 2 hours. It was horrendous.

I think the advice from pp is more appropriate for older children. A 5 month old may just be going through a growth spurt. Although I appreciate it is exhausting. Could you express milk and say directly bf the first half of the night and husband do second half? Or vice versa? Maybe do feed then a nappy change so it breaks the association a little?
