Quiet Haven site

Hi I have some Haven vouchers and would like to book a short break for my family, including my son who had ASD, and our dog. I would like a quieter site with nice walks and things do in the surrounding area. Dog friendly pubs and cafes etc.

Any recommendations please? We generally dont use the club rooms, busy pools etc, though my son may enjoy activities such as water zorbing etc

Thank you.

I’d suggest Wild Duck in Norfolk www.haven.com/parks/norfolk/wild-duck/ and there are loads of dog friendly cafes and pubs in Gorleston, one of which is called the Doggy Diner!

Berwick upon tweed is lovely. Clean and tidy, small site. Beach access and short walk into the town. Nice surroundings as well.

Lakeland is the quietest and smallest park while still having everything you need x

Definitely Wild Duck in Norfolk. Quietest one we’ve been to, closely followed by Greenacres in Wales.

We have a son with asd and his favourite site however is Caister. He loves the beach and the swimming pool there.

I agree with Lakeland aswell, we went ealry May (not scbool holidays) and it seemed like mainly owners were there, lots with pooches! Very quiet.

Lakeland is an absolute shithole. We had a horrendous week there, in a grimy, cold and knackered "prestige" caravan. It was that bad, we came home two nights early. The only thing that site needs is a meteor landing in the middle of it, it's that bad. And the general area isn't great. It's quiet because most people pack up on the 1st day and leave crying. Seriously.

We loved Lydstep Beach in Wales, but I don't know if it is dog friendly. It's round the coast a little bit from Kiln Park in Tenby, and has its own beach.
