UK cottage break between Christmas & New Year 2020

Really fancy doing this for a change next year. Probably Monday 28th to Friday 1st. Done a search and seen a few possibilities including lovely cottage on edge of Dartmoor! Thing is, we'll have to book time off from work. My work usually want us to do a few hours each on a couple of days between xmas & new year but usually don't tell us what days until much nearer the time. How far in advance do people generally book for this period? I'm assuming it's a popular thing to do!

How far do you want to travel? Is Norfolk too far for you? Try Home Farm Holiday Cottages in .weybourne. Cluster of self catered cottages around indoor pool, games room and play area. They are adding a soft play for toddlers this year. Close to a really good pub and shop. Walking down to the beach. Wood burners in some of the cottages. Also a small Beauty Room on the site.

A couple of years ago we booked a cottage for Christmas, after a bit of research we had it all booked by the start of February. It’s best to book early so you have more choice.

Best to book as early as possible if you have something specific in mind - they do tend to book up quite quickly.

We booked last year for New Year's 2020 as we wanted a specific place, having been disappointed when looking around late spring.

We also found a lot of places wanted full week bookings only or had changeover days that didn't work - they tend to change them over the festive period.
