Moving to Brighton

Any advice would be welcomed.....
We (my same sex partner & our two preschool children) are looking to move out of Kent and not sure of where to look.
We would like somewhere tolerant, near the sea & near (ish) to a station for commuting to London.
Our budget is fairly small (350k) so thinking that Brighton is a no but that would be my first choice.
Any ideas?

for that budget you would be able to get a 3 bed house in brighton, albeit not right in the town centre. this one in Woodingdean is currently on the market for £325,000 and has a large garden, is in a nice area and in catchment for Woodingdean Primary School (rated good). you would have to get a bus (20 minutes ride) to brighton station however as Woodingdean doesn't have one of its own x

Very small budget for Brighton, property prices are insane, Peacehaven or Newhaven might be doable on that budget, not that I am a particular fan of those areas, but close to Brighton none the less. Good luck with your search.

Seaford is nice. Has a train station, good schools and a friendly gay community :) very short train journey into central Brighton/Lewes if you feel like going out.

Try Shoreham/Hassocks/Haywards Heath/Burgess Hill or Portslade/Peacehaven if you want Brighton but cheaper.

This is a nice area. It won't be a big 3 bed but it's very close to five ways and good schools
