Norfolk?

Hi,
We would love to go for a three day break to Norfolk this year but I'm not certain which area to look at. I'm hoping for a beach within a 15 minute drive, for countyside walks and a few nice pubs and shops. Nothing fancy or too touristy just a cosy spring break. We love the Lakes and Cornwall if that helps. Any suggestions really appreciated x

anywhere from old hunstanton round to sheringham would suit? wells is nice, gorgous beach. i always used to park up at burnham overy staithe and walk the path to the beach (its 1.5 miles). walk along gun hill (faces inland, nice marsh/ creeks) then round the dunes and you can see scolt head island (you can get a boat to take you on there?). never busy. the hero pub is nice. lots of nice pubs. depending on the season have the mussels. yum!

Brancaster, Wells, Clay are all lovely. Holkham and Heacham are beautiful beaches. Hunstanton is a bit run down.

Worth looking at

huns`ton (as proper locals call it lol) is where local people live and work. then old hunstanton round its too expensive! its alright though (i lived near there).

be aware sandringham is bringing in parking charges next feb/ march . prince charles is involved in estate management now not his dad.....

We stayed near Burnham Market in August, it was a gorgeous area. We went to Holkham beach, Brancaster, and Holkham Hall was a great day out. We can't wait to go back. Wells was nice too, we found a lush pub there.

We booked through Barefoot Retreats, and had a lovely cottage in North Creake. Location was perfect, no more than 10/15 minutes to everywhere.

Agree with all the above. We always have an autumn break in Norfolk and we always head to Holme Next the sea. Beautiful beach goes on for miles. Short drive to Hunstanton and to Wells in the opposite direction. Beautiful pub in the village - The White Horse. Absolutely wonderful home cooked food.

We like Holt with its independent shops and places to eat. It's only a few miles from the coast at Blakeney or Cley and you can get the boat to see the seals from Morston Quay. We've walked from Holt out to the coast, then along the coastal path to Sheringham and got the North Norfolk Railway steam train back to Holt.

We stayed in a lovely cottage in Weybourne, a really nice village in North Norfolk. It was only about 10 minutes walk from the coast and we were able to walk all the way to Cromer then get the bus back. Also quite close to Sheringham, Holt and Wells. The pub in the village did really nice meals too.

We stayed in Weybourne too. Great place with facilities ideal for families. Indoor pool, games room, play area etc
Called Home Farm Holiday Cottages.
Weybourne was ideal as it is on the coast and close to most things, sandy beaches, steam train, Pensthorpes, seal trips, shopping in Holt.
