Hi,

DD and DH are off to Harry Potter World from 1pm so I have a few hours to entertain DD7. Could go to London bit don't have tons of time. We are going the next day to do the eye and Tower of London all together. Any good ideas?

Thanks
Abbie

I'd think about the Museum of London, a firm fave of my ds at that age.

If you can get tickets, the Sky Garden is fantastic, and free.

Or HMS Belfast - really interesting.

HMS Belfast definitely a good pick if it’s something your DD wouldn’t be so keen on. Museum of London also good. Would 7YO like London Transport Museum?

If the weather is good, the south an beach is always a good shout. Take spare clothes as there's a bit fountain to play in and a little bucket and spade for the sandy bit. Plenty of places to eat (Wahaca is our fave) but it will be busy so maybe a packed lunch instead.
If the weather is lousy, the Transport Museum in Covent garden is great.

Museum of London is great because it has a fantastic section about the great fire of London which most children seem to study in year 2. You could also visit the a Great Fire of London monument at pudding lane.
The Future Engineers exhibitions at the Transport Museum is excellent for that age, but it’s a bit pricey.
Coram’s Fields is my favourite London playground other than Princess Diana’s one in Hyde park. www.coramsfields.org
You could go and watch Changing The Guard at Buckingham palace at 11am.
