North Devon or South Devon? suggestions please

We are coming from London and looking at 2 areas.
Would you choose to stay in Ilfracombe or Brixham?

Any help, suggestion or heads up is welcome. TIA

Ilfracombe is lovely! You have Croyde Bay not too far which is a gorgeous beach with a lovely little village.

This is the kind of info i need as I have been to Devon only once, many years ago - Salcombe.

What else could i visit from a base in Ilfracombe? It is me, husband, and 11 year old boy and 8 year old boy

We went last year with DS (now 2) and we really enjoyed visting the Dinosaur and Wildlife Park ( cmwdp.co.uk/ ) - Should be okay for your boys too if they like animals?

I would not recommend the Milky Way Adventure Park at all - such a waste of time (and money).

Other than those 2 places, we just enjoyed the beaches: explored rock pools, went to a surf school and played ball games. Lots of great seas food and ice creams to be had down there.
