Hello, has anyone been to CBeebies Land recently? We have early access and I’m wondering which rides we should do first? Thanks in advance :)

We're just giving this a bump for you, OP. Let us know if you'd like us to move your thread to somewhere with a bit more traffic (just report your post and request it gets moved). Flowers

Is this in Alton Towers?

Ratbagcatbag · 26/05/2019 10:28

I'd try for the treetops ride as the queues for that get huge, but then I'd leg it out of CBeebies land and over to the cloud cuckoo area in the tower.
You've got a driving school (which is brill) carousel, and frog hopper too. I got there at 9:50 for the rides opening at 10. We did 4 goes on the cars before anyone else even arrived.
Everyone goes for CBeebies land. Try the other bits first and come back to that.

We’ve been a couple of times and I wouldn’t go again. However, we go in school holidays when it is busy. If you go when it’s quiet, I know people who have gone and loved it. Mainly because the rides are all the same - get on, pootle round slowly, get off. They’re all the same. So when it’s quiet, at least you don’t queue long. If you’re queuing for an hour the ride is not worth it. We much prefer Thomasland. More rides, more variety and imagination in the type of rides, less busy

We were going to stay at cbeebies land for one night and 2 days in the park, it worked out cheaper to go abroad for the week.
I suppose if you stay closer and just go to the park it would be good

AutumnGlitterBall · 26/05/2019 10:33

It probably depends when you’re going. We went in September after the English schools went back and the longest wait we had was the Night Garden boat ride which was about fifteen mins. Postman pat and the Numtums roundabout we just walked straight onto. You can download an app which gives you live queue times. Handy for DH who also wanted to go on the big rides.

singtanana · 26/05/2019 11:16

Thanks everyone, that’s helpful. I’ll download the app too. We’re going during the Scottish school holidays but while the English schools are still in. I’m expecting it to be busy but not crowded - but then again Cbeebies is for preschoolers so term time maybe isn’t as big a factor.

Will look at the map of the whole resort - hadn’t thought much about other things in the park that are good for the under 5s :)

So depending on the heights, you've got (that my daughters been able to get on since 4 years old).
Cloud cuckoo land (cars, frog hopper, carousel)
Heave ho - in mutiny bay
Enterprise (not for feint hearted - goes upside down!) - in x sector
River rapids - in Congo valley
Don't forget there is also a sealife (sharkbait reef) in mutiny bay too.

Although I do agree with a previous poster, I've done Alton Towers and drayton manor for Thomas land loads and for my daughter when she was under 5 Thomas land was actually much better. And at drayton manor there is a brilliant zoo.

If you’ve got early access OP then you’ll get about half the rides done very quickly,we did. I’d head straight over the the octonauts rollercoaster then do the tree tops one. Then go do postman pat and the night garden ride as they are close to one another. Then head for the go jetters ride.
There’s quite a few bits that are nice to do that are not really rides and you don’t really queue for. My two loved the Charlie and Lola place.
The Justin’s house is good if it’s a bit wet.
I’d measure the kids heights before you go so you don’t get them excited about a ride they then can’t go on.
We do c Beebies land then head over to mutiny bay and go to the little sea life there. Are you staying over on site?

singtanana · 11/07/2019 16:30

Just wanted to say thanks everyone, your advice was appreciated and we had a great time. Justin’s house must have changed though....we didn’t get wet just hit with a 1000 ‘soft’ balls fired from numerous canons! Grin Kids loved it all and we enjoyed the sealife bit too.

I came on to post a thread about CBeebies land so glad this one came up, but sorry to jump on your thread OP!
Did you stay in the hotel? We are thinking of taking dd 2 next year, but its a lot of money for the hotel so part of me was thinking of staying in the premier inn near by and just going to the park if it wasnt worth it! Is there a lot there for a 2 year old to do?

singtanana · 12/07/2019 14:59

We did stay in the hotel, and it was really good. There’s entertainment in the hotel from 3pm (eg Bing & Flop, mini disco, Swashbuckle etc) and you get to meet some of the characters with no or little queue. The Windmill restaurant is terrible though! Breakfast was fine but for our 2nd night we went to the Alton Towers hotel for dinner which was a bit better. We enjoyed staying on site as the day wasn’t over when we went back to the hotel.

Sorry I thought i had replied the other day! That's great thanks, sounds like its worth staying in the hotel then Smile
We can be flexible with when we go as DD isnt at school, so will try going during the week and hopefully it wont be as busy.
