Longleat v West Midlands Safari

Have been to WMSP loads but not for about 3 years, Longleat only once about 10 years ago so memories of the day are foggy. Looking to go with DP plus 18yo and 15yo. Which would people advise is best for adults and older kids? I remember there being a theme park type area at WMSP but think it's more for smaller kids? Do the monkeys still demolish cars at Longleat lol? Also will they be manically busy at Easter?

My children are 11 and find they're a bit old for Longleat now but we have not been to wms so I can't compare.

I went to Longleat with my 19 yo in December as we were in the area doing something else and had a spare day . I thought at the time that we would be the only adult only party present but surprisingly until later in the day when you could go in for the Christmas lights it was predominantly couples and older people wandering around . We had a thoroughly enjoyable day . That said I love the WMSP although I’ve not been for a few years but I’m definitely going this year .

We have been to both and loved both of them. Yes, they will be maniacally busy at Easter, and Yes, the monkeys still demolish the cars at Longleat. We saw a pile of windscreen wipers at the entrance to the monkey part of the park. There is also a large disclaimer notice before you go in. You can miss the monkeys out though.

There are no monkeys at wmsp. I live nearby and take my 4yr old and 1yr old regularly. The safari is good (if you get there at opening then they are more lively as just been fed), there are rides for all ages and my children enjoy the shows. They’ve put in a dinosaur and prehistoric section which gives more to do.

Thanks everyone, it's the 18yo that wants to go so I'll let her decide which one.

The day we went to Longleat the weather was awful, but it meant that the crowds stayed away. The animals were awake and walking around, and not asleep. I got some brilliant photos, bearing in mind that they were taken through a car window.

Brilliant pictures. She has decided on Longleat but we are now planning to go start of July when it will hopefully be quieter. Her actual birthday is in the middle of her A Levels which was why we were thinking April but after looking on trip advisor it seems that Easter is insanely busy.
