so, moving further along with my mother in laws holiday rental.

there are 3 bedrooms - 2 bigger ones upstairs and a smaller one (2.5 x 3.5m) downstairs. I have 2 really nice superking beds and there will be 2 single beds.

size wise it would make sense to put the superkings in the upstairs rooms, BUT i dont know if having the kids downstairs in the smaller one is a problem, or if people would want the kids upstairs, which means the superking would only really have space for a couple of side tables and a hanging rail and quite a tight fit

questions questions!

hmm I wouldn't have bought 2 superkings. I think people would want the kids upstairs, next to the adults. I would also have bought 2 singles for the downstairs room too, in case of elderly, less mobile guests or friends, bigger siblings etc. So 1 superking and 2 twin rooms.

Agree with the utility of beds that can be separate or joined. My mother's cottage, similarly 3 bed, has one double, one single with a trundle under it that can be made up separately or together, and 2 single beds in the 3rd room.

The superkings are from a different project being re-utilised, so I can go with just one superking.

and the idea of a bed that can be made to a double sounds perfect as will save on space in the smaller downstairs room if only 1 bed is needed.

Thanks for the input, all really helpful
