Center Parcs Longleat - Restaurant recommendations pls?!

Hi all!

Visiting just before Christmas and whilst we won’t be eating out every evening, we would love one or two nice meals with our 7 year old.

Where did you enjoy or where wouldn’t you bother eating again?!

Good food, nice surroundings if poss.

Dd does have High Functioning Autism.

It's all chain restaurants so much of a muchness. I generally find Bella Pasta and the American Diner one not very nice so we don't go there. Cafe Rouge is generally OK and Forresters Inn which is usually beside the lake is OK too as the view is nice

I can't remember thename of it, but we ate in one that had regular "storms" in. It was very noisy.

Oh no, which was that? Anyone know? We may have to avoid.

Restaurants are usually packed and so noisy, I much prefer to go somewhere offsite.

I haven't been to Longleat but frequently visit Elveden and the only one I would definitely not go back to was Cafe Rouge. They messed up all our orders and the food was terrible. We find Hucks (the American diner) ok but it is probably the busiest. I quite like Bella Italia too but wasn't impressed with the Indian (slow service and very overpriced) and have never tried Forresters as read many poor reviews about it.

If you are thinking of eating out you will need to pre book restaurants before you arrive as they get very booked up.

We ate at many of the restaurant and can't complain about any of them but.....They will need pre booking as it gets very very
busy.
It's a wonderful place, you'll have a great time.

I love the Indian there but I usually just take our own food

Our experience has been

The Indian
Curved booths - quiet low lighting. Chilled staff

The Italian (was Strada)
Busy open plan. Lots of decoration and noise. A softplay area (just pads and some toys). Lighting in the toilets that freaked our kids out. Noisy

Cafe rouge
Open plan but beneath the canapy. Streams and pools. Not too noisy. Don't feel hemmed in. Bit slow with food. Ask for kids stuff to come first.

Hucks. LOUD, DARK. Hemmed in. Lots of noise and big groups. All the child stuff is separate. Lovely staff. Kid buffet but found it too much stress.

The one at the top - more for adults. We've gone early evening and it's light and bright but not too cavernous. I like the staff there.

My top tip would be to head down to the Sports cafe on arrival and departure days. It's always much quieter - because it's a trek. Again a feeling of space not hemmed in. But v busy on the other days
