Uk October Half Term

We've unexpectedly got a few days available in October half term to go away somewhere in the UK. Not the far reaches of the North or West but Midlands, East or South are good. I'm looking for ideas. I wonder if any of you live in a place like this or have been...

Indoor activities like pottery painting, hands on science museum etc.
Accessible outdoor activities.
Good pool (with fun bits in).
Accessible child friendly places to visit.
Nice child friendly cafes and restaurants.

We have a 4 year old with limited mobility (non wheelchair user but can't climb, walk well on uneven ground or walk far) so woodland walks etc are out. Things like train rides are perfect. Or small 'theme parks' which have some quiet rides as she won't entertain noise. We will also have a 10
month old probably newly walking who never keeps still.

I realise there could be loads and loads of places that fit the bill but I just need to narrow it down as I don't know where to start. So looking for local knowledge really.

Many thanks in advance!

Sorry for butting in. Quick question about Manor House Hotel- what sort of activities are on offer? Is it worth the drive or not? How long would you stay there for?

Would you consider London? Small ServiceAppartment which means you have space and peace and also make your own food if you want to mix eating out and packed lunch?

There is always tons on during the school holidays in all museums and you can use the bus/tube to avoid long walks.

Centers Parcs works well as all paths are wheelchair friendly so trees without having to go on trails.
Pool with all slides etc
Boats suitable for him

You could hire bike trailer or if big for age one with large seat in front.
At Woburn book a villa on the road from pool as it's flat along that bit
Indoor play zones
