We are going to Legoland on the 15th/16th December and have the Saturday in London. Travelling from Scotland and will be in central London about 10am.
Are there any must do Christmas sights or anything you love to do that you recommend? DD is 9. We thought we’d do a few hours in the British Museum as she hasn’t been since she was small and loves all things historical. Have planned a later in day trip to Hamleys and a look at lights in Oxford Street. Also DD is coeliac so most food stalls etc won’t be a possibility.
I know it’s going to be very busy but this was the best time for us to go. Just need to make the most of the time we do have! Thanks.

Following this. We are going to Lapland Uk in December and probably staying in Windsor and train into London from there

Kew Gardens? The lights look good there

Hamleys will be atrocious - avoid!

Some of the roads off Oxford St are much prettier for lights - think Bond St, South Molton St etc

And the area around Libertys/Carnaby nice

Southbank fun and Tate Modern good

we just went on the cable car over the thames then took the river boat up to Greenwich and it was brilliant fun. also did the Churchill war rooms which was way better than expected we spent over 4 hours there. you could also looking at taking in an afternoon matinee show of something suitable?

There’s Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park (have a google) it’s like a big fairground, also stalls and shows etc. It’s pretty expensive though.
There’s also ice skating at The Natural History Museum , it’s outdoor and feels quite festive!
