Large property for weekend away

Anyone know any sites that offer large properties for a weekend. Looking for somewhere to sleep at least 8 couples for 50th in Feb. Original plan fell through as place wouldn't take all adult groups so somewhere without that restriction!

2 or 3 nights? Most places have a 3 night minimum stay.

Try Kate and Tom's - they have a HUGE selection of larger properties.

I have no idea why huge is in capitals there Grin.

have a look at the two websites bigholidayhouse.com and groupaccommodation.com. they have properties of all sizes and on all budgets and there are definitely places on there that will do 2 nights stays not just 3.

F. Am looking for somewhere for 20 with a restricted budget so keen to hear ideas

mummymeister · 19/09/2018 08:57

mammyofonlyone - both the websites that I quoted have some huge places on - 50+ - so you will definitely find something big enough. if you have a restricted budget then go out of season - Nov - March and then you will find some real bargains on these sites. are you a single sex group as there are quite a few specialist hen party sites that might be able to help as well.

Cottages and castles list some lovely large properties in Scotland. Not cheap though .

Woodlands Retreat in Glastonbury has main House that sleeps 16 and another smaller house next door (but separate garden etc) which sleeps 8.

I am going to Jockhedge Cottages in Lincolnshire tomorrow for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. Nine going but what they have is several accommodations all together around a courtyard inc a large farmhouse. It has cost us £1200 for two properties for a week so it’s really I think good value. Also has a hot tub , fishing lake and nice grounds. It’s 15 mins walk to the village which has all the usual shops plus excellent pubs!

This place in North Devon is beautiful. Used to be a friends family home and I have very fond memories of staying there. Now an upmarket holiday home / wedding venue.

Not sure about your budget but UniqueHomeStays have these kind of large houses in England mostly in the West. We are trying also a large barn in Kent for 10 years anniversary weeding in 2 weeks time and apparently we will be 10 couples all sleeping there Friday and Saturday. I keep you posted once we have tried it.

I rented a cottage for next summer.

Try farmhouse cottages they have a decent variety of cottages for rent. The holiday letting business is huge so you can definitely find something. If you are renting out of season you can find some amazing deals on accommodation. Just be sure to check all the legal stuff carefully.

YHA exclusive hire. They only take winter bookings but there are some great properties. I have hired YHA Conwy for my bday and all rooms are en suite.

Rural retreats have some large properties:

Disclaimer: biggest I've ever hired was 4 bedrooms, but their service was great.
