Cornwall with a toddler

Hi all, I just wondered if anyone had any recommendations for days out in Cornwall with a two and a half year old? Also, child-friendly but not icky places to eat would be appreciated. Thanks so much in advance!

Paradise Park in Hayle is beyond perfect for toddlers. From animal feeding, to bird flying shows, huge outdoor play parks, indoor soft play zones and a mini outdoors train to ride on, it’s the ultimate all weather attraction. Dairyland is similar but with farm animals and tractor rides.
Newquay Zoo is pretty good too. Some families have commented that it is smaller than they expected, but there are still over 130 creatures at the zoo including a tropical house full of creepy crawlies, red pandas, lemurs, penguins and big cats. There is also a children’s activity trail, a play area and a dragon’s maze. Regular animal feeding and feeder talks take place throughout the day.
Lappa Valley is a really good half-day out. There are three motorised trains to ride around on as well as a steam train, nature trails, a toddler maze and huge play parks for all ages. The Bodmin and Wentford Railway is another popular steam railway where you can take a leisurely 13 mile train journey around the beautiful Cornish countryside.
Trebah Gardens is a sub-tropical garden with a spectacular view and is one of the most family friendly gardens in Cornwall. Under 5’s can explore Fort Stuart which includes a slide and rocking horses in a secure area on sand. There are also adventure trails for children to follow including Mr Frog’s Wildlife Trail!!
You'll never be far from the coast so rock-pooling, Kite-flying, crabbing and boat trips are always popular with toddlers. Great places for rock pooling include Castle Beach around Falmouth, Port Isaac Beach (think Doc Martin) and Kennack Sands on The Lizard Peninsula. Trevarnon Bay at Padstow is also good as huge rock pools are revealed at low tide – plus you can combine it with a visit to the Lobster Hatchery and fish and chips at Rick Stein’s restaurant.

Wow, Ricekrispie, that is amazing! Thank you so much for taking the time to reply with all those fantastic recommendations. I am so grateful and have noted them all down. I'm feeling really excited about our holiday now! You're a star.

Monkeyworld?
Porfell Animal park
You can hire bikes with little toddler buggies at the back, or with toddler seats on the front and cycle the Camel Trail
You can go crabbing on the harbour at Looe - loads of cafes there and a small fun fair by the beach
But just playing on the beach will be the best fun - searching in the rock pools, making castles, having a paddle and an ice cream.

Ahh, thanks so much, Mina! We're definitely planning on lots of beach days but just in case the weather is a bit rubbish... I like to prepare for every eventuality. My DC needs a full day of activities! Your suggestions are much appreciated and added to the list!

Lappa Valley is great, my son loved it when we went a few years back. Paradise Park is lovely too Definite recommendations.

Flambards, near Helston, is the biggest theme park in Cornwall. Lots of rides and activities for all ages. I think they have some special firework nights during the summer as well. They did the last time I visited anyway.
