Premier Inn - Holborn or County Hall (London)

Can't decide which one.

Will be arriving via Euston and leaving via Kings Cross. Not too much difference price wise, kids are nearly 10 so can walk a fair bit. Would like to go to Tower of London, Hyde Park, British Museum, Buckingham Place if nice, touristy stuff.

Any ideas?

I'd say County Hall has more wow impact, as it is right on the Thames and next door to Eye etc. Holborn is just a bit more officey-business boring.

You can jump on the water ferries at the Eye pier too, which is a great way to see London landmarks.

Out of those two I'd say County Hall, like pp said it's next to The Eye, really near Southbank, Parliament, easy to get River boat cruises. For central hotel though there's at least one or maybe two PIs at Euston. From there you have tube and buses going everywhere in London. Why have you chosen Holborn.

Looked at Holborn because it was near Covent Garden and sort of half way between a lot of places I'd like to go eg: Tower Bridge area and Buckingham Palace / Hyde Park.

Have stayed at loads of premier inns in London. Euston is fine if you only have 1 child as their larger family rooms are never available.

Holborn is a bit of a walk to the tube or Covent Garden & itvis in a business area tucked away. We stayed when it was brand new but went again last year & were disappointed as the 2nd child bed was unfit for purpose & service in the restaurant poor.

Never stayed at county hall (do they have air con?) we usually go in August.

Kensington Earls Court is one of the best. Usually cheaper but very close to the tube & very friendly nothing too much trouble staff.

Second Kensington, Earls Court. I like the little area around it for food raids!

County Hall is also sort of half way between Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace, in that you can wander down the South Bank past Tate Mod, Globe, Borough Market and then past London Bridge to Tower Bridge in one direction... and in the other direction, you can coss over to Trafalgar Square, pop by the National Gallery, go up the Mall passing St James Park up to Buckingham Palace. These may be too long walks for your children but I imagine would be fine with lots of stops for hot choc etc! Holborn would be great if you want to go to theBritish Museum or small quirky museums like Petrie Museum of Egyptology or the Sir John Soanes Museum. Also Covent Garden like you say.

County hall is brilliant location the London eye is next door the dungeon, aquarium and shreks adventure is literally same building

I've stayed twice now there's a few eateries right by it great transport links don't think there's air con though
