LOndon at Easter with 2 teenagers - Oyster card help!!

Just that really! Things seem to have changed since I lived in London in the early 90s?! Can anyone advise please:

1 do we need an Oyster card each or can we use one between us?
2 is there any advantage to buying an Oyster card over using a contactless card?
3 if we use contactless cards to pay, can we all use the same one?
4 do one day travel cards still exist?

Many thanks in advance from a clueless Manc 😂

Whether oyster or contactless, you need one card each.

For the adults, I don't think there is any difference between oyster and contactless but for the teens, you need an oyster to get the child fare on tube/free travel on buses.

One contactless card each
Yes you can still buy travel cards,
Oyster/contactless cap at same rate, which I think is currently a little lower than a travel card.
You have to buy an Oyster card then put money on it, so contactless is better if you’re not going to be a regular visitor.
How old are the teens? Travel might still be free for them - but teens need a zip Oyster card to travel free.

Although one day travel cards do exist you don’t need them if you’re paying with an Oyster/contactless.
