We are looking for a cottage in Scotland for 7 days from Oct15. Sleeps 6, countryside, open fire etc etc.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Have a look at www.nts.org.uk/Holidays/Advanced-Search/, we've had some lovely cottages through them.

It is the school holiday week. If your not tied to those dates availabilty will be better the week before. Scotland is huge. What do you look for in a holiday?

Stayed at melfort loch and harbour in June near Oban.
If you like remote places, stunning scenery, not a lot to do if the weather is awful....which it was ...you'll love this.
16 miles out of Oban.
